Well it was, but inside a Yamaha PSR-6 keyboard!  I was coming back home and about 5 houses from mine, this was put in the trash bin. Well that offer was too good to refuse!, and under the arm it went.
Now it was functional and had fun with it for 5 minutes... then I decided I would use the bottom pan as a pedalboard base....well thats another thread, but im working on it.
Im so much into recycling electronics, now I buy 1 dollar Japanese old radios at garage sales and open them up for parts!
Anyway, scored a couple goodies on the pcb, including this rc4558dv chip. Now ive tried 4 different chips in my TS-9, but this one beats them all!, it is very defined, great harmonics, the tone control now is usable and not muddy if you back off on the tone control( to me that is a great score as I now have sort of 2 pedals in one). Overall id say its the one with the best pleasing harmonics.

Its the DV part on the chip that i have never seen before.
