My first distorsion was a danelectro grilled cheese, awful.. I don't like it :P It broke really fast. today I opened it (now that I know about electronics) found 3 smd 4558 opamps. And an inductor inside it.

The question is, is there anyway to know the inductance of this inductor?? As I can get inductors in Argentina, and before making another one, i would like to know if this inductor could be used, any ideas??

bye bye

thabnks a  lot

Where in the circuit is it, do you know? It might only be to stop radio interference.
What does it look like?

The grilled cheese is a distortion with a kind of settable wah function. The inductor is part of the wah filter. If I get a chance to measure it I'll post what it is.

I started out with nothing... I still have most of it.

Thanks john, that would be super cool.

I could only measure resistance.. I think it was 14ohms, or something similar.

As john said, it's not for radio intereference, at least it doesn't look like that at all.

Thanks a lot

YIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiihaaaaaaaa!!!!

THanks a lot john greene. I love you(and your DMM as well :p)

544.7 mH, that's pretty close to the 500, or 600/660 whatever you like ;)

I won't have to give 291 turns to a pot core again :P At least once ;)

You made my day ;)

BTW, what's the 25.69 value..resistance, inductance :S
