I went to band practice tonight as was greeting by the lead guitarist wearing this guitar, he just made it last week. Schaller maching head, EMG humbucker, the body is made of MDF. He built it because he also plays in an Abba tribute band (lucky him), and he need to look the part - star guitar and a blonde wig.....  Sorry about the crappy camera phone pics, they don't do it justice, but you guys needed to see this. He's offered to make me a guitar in any shape I want, as long as it's all straight lines, no curves. I wonder?

It plays really well, unbelievably. Spot on action and intonation. He used it all night tonight, sounded OK!

i love those schaller fixed bridges, i have one in my iron(bird) V, which is a chopped bc usa custom from the 80's. if any of you remember the hair metal band TUFF, it was dude's.

Personally I go for matching collar and cuffs, but I'll make an exception in your case.    Reminds me of the aeroplane blonde joke: blond hair, black box......

I just finished this tonight.  Well, not finished - it still needs setup - but I got it far enough that I spent about 2 hours playing it.  Its WAY fun. 

And yes, its got flat wounds.  I have not yet put a sponge under the strings, but I'll be getting around to it as soon as it comes home.  I think I'm going to have to make myself a Portaflex for it!








Ash body, cheap (but good) maple/rosewood neck, a cool as heck anodized aluminum pickguard, and a Lindy Fralin P-bass pickup which is KILLER.  I need to order a finger rest for it, since the guard already has the holes for them.
