Here are some of mine, I also have 3 acoustics.....
62 reissue strat made in 87, 2003 Gibson melody maker, 2005 Dillion Explorer copy, and a cheap Fender bass copy that is well setup.

It is a guitar of sorts... two woks brazed together. Three weedeater nylon strings and maybe some sympathetics inside the neck?
Monkey see, monkey do.

Looks really good Sean, might need a support spike like a cello or double bass, or you could play it from the floor on a coit like a sitar ;) Perhaps it's not as heavy as it looks though, those woks are steel not cast right?
I'd love to have a crack at some of the kind of projects you're into, time's not my friend right now though, maybe later. Keep posting your stuff so I can live vicariously through your efforts ;)

Picked this up off CL about a month ago:

It's a 1976 Rickenbacker 480.

Hey there Skruffyhound, you're not the only one who lives vicariously through my efforts... so do I! :icon_eek: :icon_lol:

The woks are 2mm mild steel so they are actually quite light. Maybe a little heavier than a bass at the moment but only a bit more weight will be added.
Monkey see, monkey do.

I just love those weird body curves of fender jazzmasters en that rickenbacker.  ;D
I've got a black fender mustang myself.

Since no one else is willing to make stupid puns, I'll do the dirty work.

That's sad to see always the same strat or lespaul all around the world, every one wants the same guitar, the same sound  :icon_cry: :icon_cry: Anything original .

I'll change that when I receive my new De armond jetstar  :icon_mrgreen:

Hold on, Sean's got a guitar made from a wok!

Skruffyhound

Yeah Sean, you should really try to get away from traditional designs and let your imagination run free  :icon_mrgreen:

That ax looks hot. Watch out so you don't go (Stir) frying your amp.
Does it make that sizzling fuzz sound too?
The only bad sounding stomp box is an unbuilt stomp box. ;-)

Does is count if they're backwards?  :icon_biggrin: Here are two of mine:

The strat is a 1989 MIJ '67 reissue, almost completely stock. The only change is that I moved one tone control to do just the bridge pickup, and the other for the neck and middle. The Les Paul is a 1974 Custom, but the bridge pickup is non-original. I saved the original wiring (the pots were froze in place), and put C-taper pots in, and have tried a few different wirings. Both great guitars!

New Guitar Day!

My wife got me this for my birthday. She's the bestest.

Epi Dot, needs some work, like a good setup job and cleaning. Perhaps some new electronics and at least a very good cleaning on the pups. I'll have to get more details on the stock pickups before I replace them, but I'd like to get an aluminum bridge and tailpeice. Who know's, if I can find a good bigsby and roller bridge...

My goodness man that is absolutely beautiful !!!!!  :icon_eek:
I am envious, that makes my Epi LP plus top look plain !!!
How does the Oak sound ?
And does having the grain run width wise affect it any ?

Again that looks crazy good.
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D

Thanks very much :)

The width-wise grain doesn't seem to be a problem, but I imagine that if it were thinner or poorly glued, it could break under string tension.  Its possible it might be more fragile to drops now too.  I worked with what I had, can't complain about free wood!  I don't plan on dropping it, anyway.
