Just finished this guy today

It's a AB763 Deluxe Reverb with a bias modulation tremolo taken from the blackface Princeton Reverb design. Taking it down to Louisville this weekend for Ben from Band Of Horses to try out. Hopefully he won't like it and I get to keep it.  :)
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

On top is my '04 MIM Classic 60's Tele (setting atop my rehoused '66 Bassman {Twin sized, 2x12 cab}).  Below it is my '83 MIJ '62 RI.

I've a couple/few others, but these are my two workhorse guitars.

You just have to have four stings !  8)
Reminds me of the bass player of Jesus and Mary Chains (Two stings on a bass).

Maybe you should convert it to a four stings baritone guitar like Tiny Grimes used to like !  :icon_wink:

Here's my custom made bamboo strat. This guitar was hand made for me back in 2000. 90% of the guitar is made out of bamboo strips about  1/2-1 inch strips.(BTW,we have large bamboos here in the Philippines) and glued together. The pickguard is made out of Philippine ebony and the jack ferrule is carved out of jackfruit wood. The guitar has a set neck and has a custom made stainless steel fretwires(8 years and no wear)and abalone dot inlays. The pickups are DiMarzio Pro Track/Bridge,GFS Texas Premiums/neck,middle and has a GFS variable active midboost control. 8)

Set neck and battery cavity for the midboost circuit.

Custom frets and abalone inlays

This pic is quite old(notice the different knobs)

bamboo?

umm. BAMBOO?!

The neck heel, pickguard and jack ferrule on that guitar are each works of art... not to mention the bamboo neck! What's it sound like? What woods would you compare bamboo to tonally?
[edit] +1 on stainless steel frets, I'm a total convert  :icon_cool:

Super cool stuff in the pics in this thread.
Good luck with not selling that amp Undeadelvis !
Phillipines Bamboo guitar is kawayanstrats, WoW !
Lots of nice stuff, White isn't my favorite guitar color [wood grain is].

Reminds me of the last RG I painted;  I ran out of red paint, so it ended up fluorescent instead.  Too bad it has EMGs and no bridge, or it might actually get played.

Reminds me about "The Presidents of the United States" who have 5 strings between them !!!

They make a GREAT noise though   :icon_mrgreen:

If I had a LOT of money, I would have a three string bass designed , any bass player with more than
four strings just makes me want to puke !

my second strat build seen here w/details http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=66697.0

this is my next project(for phish fans like me)
a completely self built Trey Anastasio's Langeudoc Guitar

cuberius

kurtlives

Finished this in October

Specs...
Neck:

Maple
Rosewood Fretboard
Gotoh Kluson Vintage Style Tuners
Handcrafted Bone Nut
Golden vintage aged look

I tried to go very vintage on the neck. I even painted the truss rod slot black like the old teles

Body:

Basswood
Modern 6 saddle bridge
String through and stop-tail
Vintage Style 3 ply Pick guard
Schaller Straplocks

Electronics:

Everything shielded (this thing is noiseless!)
Seymour Duncan Vintage Neck
Seymour Duncan Vintage Hot Bridge
Standard tone and volume pots
Push/pull tone pot for phasing
Treble Bleed Mod
SPDT Switch for toggle between different caps for the tone pot.

So a very vintage style guitar but with some modern twists. Great fun to play, plays really well. My only complaint is the frets are a bit small.

These are my guitars Fiona and Jasmine. Fiona is a 89 squier(best sticker on is) made Fender cost me $23 on ebay (really beat up and relic all over) I did the hole Fender thing,
and Jasmine is a 98 squier (got this one from my older brother thats in school for 90 buks). I have a fender acoustic but its not worthy of pis and a strat in the shop right now.
