Here's my two newest sweeties  ;D

I've been an Ibanez guy for years and decided a few months to get the guitars that I've wanted since I first started playing, so I got the Explorer about 2 months ago, and got the V last weekend (the V is one of 400 available in silverburst finish!). I dont know if I'll ever pick up an Ibanez again...

From left to right:
Fender sting signature bass ~2001
Excel strat copy bought in England with Diezel pickups bought on ebay
Squier Supersonic 1997
Danelectro u2 reissue from late 90's to early 2000's

And a bunch of amps I built.

and a guitar just like the others in the post I got at an antique market for my bother in law.  No name but looks like "tempo" is faded into the headstock.

My blonde.

And side-by-side with the brunette.

The Iron Chef

A little something that I built for my son last year.
A Vee built from MIMF.com plans.
20 year old mahogany with a bookmatched Walnut cap.  The Neck is Cherry/Walnut/Cherry with an eliptical section (thin) :). I cut it on a CNC machining center. Gibson Burstbucker Pro Pickups. Titanium Bridge. Abalone inlay.

Thanks

I'm jelous of the Silverburst. I've been trying to get credit cards and other crap paid off so I can invest in one of my own, of the Les Paul variety though  8)

That looks to me like a 60s Teisco, I've got a mid 60s Tele-star that has the same tuners, and the same metal handle on the head to keep the strings down.

My new guitar, she is a headless travel guitar with full scale neck and built in effect.
The body has the controls in a centered and simetrical position because I´m righty but my older child is lefty and in this way the guitar can be easily changed to be played for him in the future.
The complete project include the guitar, a little DIY clone of the Marshall MS-2 Amp, the battery charger and the DIY custom case.
I finished this little baby about two months ago, my son named her ¨Little Rocker¨, the specifications are :

- Body : Mahogany with a jacaranda strip in the middle.
- Neck : bolt on headless maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.
- Fret markers : dots.
- Scale : full 25.5 inches scale with 24 frets.
- DIY Headpiece.
- HardTail bridge.
- DIY Tuners.
- Pickups : Two GFS Hex humbuckers.
- Electronics : built in DIY SansAmp GT2 pedal with rechargeable 9V Battery and DIY charger circuit.
- Controls in the front : one toggle switch to select pickups, two volumes and effect ON/OFF switch.
- Controls In the back : GT2 pots and switches with mahogany/jacaranda cover.

She´s extremely quiet, and plays really well.  The balance is very good if you play standing and is very confortable to play seated too.
I´m very satisfied with the results, hope you like her.

GREEN FUZ

Nice one! I`ve always liked the Burns Flyte.

andronico

Thank you ! The body shape is inspired in the RiverHead Unicorn (but you are right, is very similar with the Burns Flyte)

That travel guitar is fantastic, I think it's much nicer than any of the commercial guitars it was influenced by.
Excellent work!

That is  a really nice guitar.  What was the hardest part about the assembly? Did you carve the wood yourself? Just curious.

Yes I carved all the body using a router, but the hardest part was the hardware.  I made the headpiece and the tuners myself.  Here are some pics of the finished hardware :

Finally took a picture of my favorite baby...
For me I dont collect or have many guitars they are all players, my favorite is my pawn shop special, Ibanstein (Ibanez) that has been gutted and rewired, replaced the pickups changed tremolo springs, first guitar I intonated myself. Single coils are Fender Antiquitys, humbucker is an EVH series Seymore Duncan.

The action is a little high, strings a little dead, hardware's rusty, has years and years worth of chips dings and dents but I love it and play this thing every day and I feel it has the best tone. Also, have a Carvin DC150 (my first good electric) and Yamaha SBG200 that both sounds good, more sustain and better action but I always find myself going back to the old Ibanstein. It's the one I carry around the house and practice scales with.

Here she is:

The single coil covers that came with the pick-ups were cream colored and I spray painted them black, as you can see the paint is comming off.

I also have a Takamine dreadnought and jumbo style accoustic cutaway 12 strings. I play the Jumbo style 12 almost every day. (I love the sound of this guitar)

Sorry if I posted this already...my new SG with my new Reason 1x12 cabinet

This is not my large automobile

A cheap ply Epi Junior body with a 1962 Supro neck and GFS P90 - I lengthened the neck pocket (not very neatly) and moved the bridge back to match the neck - it's basic but suits me fine. A placeholder until I snag a Supro Belmont, maybe. I was planning to make a new scratchplate in a Supro-type shape, but its been a few months, I think I'll leave it now...

That looks like the second electric guitar I owned, after the dano (silvertone) with the amp in a case. It had a horribly loose neck and would go out of tune if I looked at it crosseyed. But it was great for vibrato. :icon_mrgreen:

Here's one I finished reviving a year and a half ago:

"I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you."

Heres my custom build. Fender deluxe body and trem, bill lawrence keystone singles, warmoth maple reverse headstock neck with ebony fretboard and locking tuners. It also has a double truss rod. Its currently got a peice of crap switch in there that likes to cut out, going to replace it with a tele 3 way switch and the hendrix mod that lets you blend the middle pickup with either the neck or bridge.

Also got a t-60 body that needs a neck, a single cutaway classical with shadow pickup system, and a japanese les paul copy which i hate (anyone interested?).
