Yes indeed!!!

We could overload this board with tales of woe. Walking into any gear shop and findind "the" lefty guitar.
If they have any to start with.

it doesnt do anything but keep the dust out of the cavity at the moment (i believe there was originally a coil tap in there years ago- all original pups now though) just build a stratoblaster though so considering putting it in  :-\ dont want to drill another hole in the scratch plate though, all those holes could depreciate its value, any advice?

out of phase switch. very usefull for more tone options.

Here are some pics of my new baby.  Her name is Daphne.  My buddy and I built her together.  He did most of the actual construction and then I did the electronics and some of the internal routing.  I actually just brought her home last night from being professionally setup and she plays and sounds as beautiful as she looks.

the body is mahogany with a spalted walnut top and flamed maple "racing stripes" as I like to call them

the neck is flamed maple with a cocobolo fingerboard and brass dot inlays and fret markers

did a flamed maple electronics cavity cover to match the neck

stetsbar pro II floating tremolo.  really slick sounding.  a bit spendy but well worth the price

CTS pots, Les Paul switch, and a custom toggle switch that toggles between an orange drop tone cap and reversed pair of schottky clipping diodes

Lindy Fralin P-92 pickups which are incredible.  single coil tone but more beefy and wound in a way that eliminates hum like a humbucker.  so really the best of both worlds IMHO.  Plus, as you can see, each post has adjustable height so you can tweak the response of each individual string which makes it one of the most versatile pickups I've ever used.

BTW... just a little plug... my buddy Drew has been building guitars for the last several years as a side business.  He does a lot of custom work and, since he's still breaking into the business, his guitars are priced far lower than they should be and will be a few years down the road.  So if you like this and are interested in having something made, contact him at theworshipguy1@yahoo.com or send me a PM and I can give you his phone #.

(Admins - sorry if I'm breaking a forum rule with the plug.  Let me know and I will remove the blurb.  Thanks!)

I have yet to understand the appeal of silverburst...is there something about it that I'm missing?

Maybe it's all those years I spent sanding in my grandfather's furniture shop, but there's something about opaque paint that gets to me when it comes in the form of colors that say 'metal' more than 'wood', but silverburst has always made me tilt my head and say, 'Whaaaat? Who would pay that much for a guitar with such an ugly paintjob?'

Let that grain show!

...or not, if sil-bur suits you better :)

yep. there are only 2 paintjobs as far as i'm concerned. woodgrain and satin black. something about the way the satin wears in right away by getting shiny on the high friction areas.

If things go well, I can start posting pics of my maple/walnut/spalted maple suped-up telecaster I have in the works.  I just need to clear the woodworking projects list first.

Just finished her the other day at half one in the morning, polishing and finetuning took about 12 hours. Gigged with her the following day.

More decent pics coming soon.
