That's some nice grain on the top of that Taylor.

My new passion!

I barley touched any my electric gear in almost a year. What am I becoming...  :icon_cry:

I have this image in my mind of you building an acoustic stompbox with a bass drum pedal as the actuator and something like a car throttle cable going up to the guitar and opening a flap on the side of the guitar for tone control or placing a steel plate on the bridge to get an acoustic fuzz.  Yeah, my mind sometimes does take me off the beaten path.  But nobody ever said a stompbox had to be electronic.

GuitarlCarl

I have a few I've modded...

75' Electra, 74' Fender Deluxe, Squire modded to a nine string... E A Dd Gg Bb e

Lefty Squire with Fender American pickups and a reverse decal...

Alvarez tele I routed for a tremolo, also has a minibucker in the neck position.
All five of these have Warmoth pickguards, CTS pots and switches with custom switching,
except the 74' which is all stock but the pickguard.
I want it to sound like metal bees bouncing around in a 55 gal drum...

Let's see if this works? 1961 Fender re-finned before I got too the poor thing.

You have to be logged in to Facebook (and likely be your friend) for those images to appear.

Upload your images here, and then use the code they provide. :)

If you're not doing it for yourself, it's not DIY. ;)

As long as your Facebook picture album privacy is set to 'Everyone' you can link it and it doesn't matter is the viewer is logged onto Facebook or not. Here's a test from my Facebook album as an example:

Guitar > Neo-Classic 741 Overdrive > Boss NS2 Noise Suppressor > DOD BiFET Boost 410 > VHT Special 6 Ultra Combo Amp Input > Amp Send > MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay > Boss RC3 Loop Station > Amp Return

Skruffyhound

That's odd because I could view jimijamz picture by opening in a new tab, but couldn't copy the image address and re-post.

CynicalMan

Jimijamz, you have to right-click on the image, click "Copy Image Location", and then paste that into the image. You just had the link to the facebook page with the image on it.

Thanks. It's a 1966 Mustang neck, grafted to a Mighty Mite mahogany Strat body. Traded a Jap Strat copy for the body, neck, and mostly missing hardware, in college back in 1982. I had to cut back the neck pocket to accomodate the 24" scale, and spent 3 days with an eye patch when a mahogany splinter flew out of the router and found my undressed eye. I guess at that point, I knew we were meant to be together. After all, we always seem to hurt the ones we love the most  :icon_mrgreen:. Since then, it's gone through several mods (fret wire, trem, electronics, face plates, everything but the wood really), it's been my trusty test bed of sorts. Whatever gear that you see on the other guitars in the picture, has all gone through, been tested, and approved, by Mr. Bastard-caster first.

Latest additions to the household:  Bee Baa Booty the kitten arrived at Bee Towers last weekend and '96 Gibson ES135 arrived today.

I'm thinking that I might put a Bigsby on it.  I might modify the guitar as well.
