Been playing on this one for a couple of months now. Jazz sd designed pups, really solid sounding. I decided to leave it natural blonde because it sounds so good and I don't want to ruin that

Just got this as a project:

Going to need a lot of work!

What's the story with this?  Did squier ever make a musicmaster and I missed it?

That thing will be awesome when you're done!!!

A couple of pages back and you can see my love for that body shape.

I don't own a Fender and I have two rooms and a basement that are worse than that.

It's a Squier neck, stuffed into an aftermarket musicmaster/duosonic body.

The neck is a regular 25.5" scale, which is why the bridge isn't butted up against the pickguard.

not a good fit in the neck pocket:

Not a straight fit at all

Here's a selection of screws that were holding down the pickguard

Didnt even sand off the router marks

Just sprayed right over unsanded wood

As for the tidyness of my garage.  you can talk to my wife about why we need to have 4 strollers for two children.
Try a little tenderness.

^ someones had a right go at that haven't they... :)

still a cool project though, with a bit of work.. 8).

: you could have races in the strollers.. ;D

Yikes!  It still looks like a fun project.

Are you going to find a 24 inch neck?  I'm VERY fond of short scale Fenders.

Do you know where the previous owner got the body?  I'm guessing it was inexpensive if it hadn't been sanded and ended up with a squier neck.  I would be interested in such a thing as a tinkering project.

I think I found the guy that made the body.  He posts over at Reranch, but was making bodies for guys over at the Shortscale forums. He asked me to take pictures once it was stripped because he takes pictures of all the guitars he sells, so he would be able to tell me more about it if he had made it.

I am trying to find a 22" scale neck.  But I've only found vintage ones so far that were expensive, and wrecked!

Ahh, the elusive 22" neck.  I've only ever actually seen/played one Duo Sonic that had one, I should have bought that thing.

Good luck!

Do you have a closer picture of it?  I'm sorry, I have always wanted a JEM. My dream guitar.  Here's me swirling my RG470.

Yup, but before I put on the multi-color Sperzels, and JEM knob kit. These are from just after I finished it.

The original body received a fabric treatment, and reverse headstock.

This one now sports Bill Lawrence pup's.

The whole family.

Nice jem paint job. You don't see to many that look that good. What kind of neck are you using on the other RG?

Just a no name neck that I picked up off Ebay. I really wanted a reverse, I liked the inlay, and it wasn`t very expensive. Of course, «it wasn`t very expensive» translates into reworking the profile and frets to my liking. I didn`t mind though, it works for me.

The tuners on that swirl are scrambled, here you go.

Looks like only the D-string tuner is in the right place.
