Pop on switching between caps.

My sincerest apologies if this is a repeat, but I've been spending days searching for this topic in this forum and others.  I've been running it in Brian Wampler's forum, but haven't had any luck.  http://indyguitarist.com/forum/index.php?topic=279.0

Here's the issue:  I've thrown a SPDT switch into my Crybaby GCB-95 Wah for the "sweep"  or "center frequency" capacitor, and it pops thunderously when throwing the switch the first time only.  This isn't a HUGE deal, but it's annoying and I'm sure others have run into this.  I know why it's doing this, but I want to cure it.

FYI, the Cap is C5.  Stock value is .01uF.  I switch it between .01 and .022 because I like the lower range for clean/funk playing.

So far I've tried putting a 100pF across both caps, running a ground between all 3 lugs, ground between outer lugs only, and also a 1M Ohm resistor to ground.  Nothing seems to cure this pop!  There must be a simple fix.  R. G. Keen has a mod for a Capacitor switch, but I don't see anything there that I haven't tried.  http://geofex.com/Article_Folders/wahpedl/wahped.htm#mods

Anyone got a good cure for this?

Edit:  I also just put a 1M resistor between switch legs on a SPDT and a DPDT.  Still the same loud pop!

i dont know if this works for u, but try to put caps in parallel, the stock 10n and another 10n (20n) and maybe a third cap 22n, so u have 3 options: 10n, 20n and 32n

DONT DISCONNECT THE STOCK CAP.
If I was God you'd sell your soul to...

I agree, try switching in another cap in parallel. Don't disconnect the first cap.

try a rotary make before break.
