What program do some of you use to create a schematic? Obviously you can use a pen and paper.
I have a schematic I'm working on and wanted to draw it up to post for some help and
was just woundering what ppl were using.
I downloaded the freeware version of Eagle and cant seem to make it work.

Now that is a schematic drawing program - and that is ALL it is, it doesn't help do layout - but, it is good at what it does.

eagle doesnt make much sense to me logically.. thinks are not where i would put them if i was designing the software.. makes it very hard to use if your constantly looking in the wrong place!!

i use circuitmaker2000 and traxmaker which is a really old protel suite which is about 10 years old now!!

i should really upgrade and learn the new protel suite..

i think people have success with pcb123.com which is free

cheers

Not knowing what OS you are using you could give Kicad a shot.

This looks like what I was looking for. Thanks everyone for the other suggestions. If this one
gives me problems I will check out the others.

I'm gonna give this one a whirl.  :)
Thanks Paul!

Don't thank me, thank Ray Wilson! www.musicfromouterspace.com
Ray's a great guy - and he happens to sell a multistage phaser board, among his other bits & pieces (mostly DIY synth & noise makers).

I use the freeware TinyCAD available here: http://tinycad.sourceforge.net/screenshots.html

I began to use it instead of Eagle or any other one because TinyCAD can export "Net List" files for the stripboard program I use. I then found it easy to use, and the library of parts is quite complete, and is easy to modify.
