Thanks! So can I just slap in a 1k resistor between the +9v and the existing 1k resistor?

It's solved! After trying out the BFC, transistor swap and other solutions, I finally found out that it was the goddamn Halo inductor clone. I believe it's really microphonic because a sound would come out of the speakers when I tried to tap it. I swapped an ordinary audio ouput transformer and used the primary windings and voila! the wah was now working!

Just a question about the microphonic inductor: can I remove its microphonic quality by dipping it in hot wax to pot it? Thanks

Hah! I thought it might be the inductor. Potting it in wax might do the trick. It wouldn't hurt anything to try it, AFAIK.

Well, it might hurt my wallet by 14USD if it gets borken.. hahaha! But thanks for all the help guys. Really appreciate it.

I'll post soundclips soon. :D
