Resistor in sockets question

Guys can resistor in sockets cause any noise? Or more noise than when soldered? Is it better than a trimer(i've heard they can cause some slight hiss...)? I am talking about the bias resistor in RM/FF clone. Thanks :)

I think it should be fine. I've been using them for years. Sometimes I do solder them in place.  I use a trimmer for my RM bias control.
