I remember seeing someone post a link to i believe amazon where they sold a small battery powered drill that was perfect for drilling holes in pcbs, can anyone help me find that drill/something like it? Thanks a lot

Also wondering if anyone has any leads on moderately priced laser printers again for making my own pcbs

Here is a great place to shop on the net, fast shipping, good rates. Everybody here has bought there!

Smallbear have lots of great stuff, and I buy from them once a week, but they do not sell drills nor laser printers. ;)
I like amps etc.

i know ive seen guys use a dremel tool like that... not sure they make re-chargable ones though.

Dremel has rechargeables.  I use a Dremel for that myself.

As a lasterprinter I bought the cheapest one I could find ;) A canon LBP2900 for 90 euro's (~$100)

Oh sorry, I read Drill bits!....yea a dremel is one of the best versatile tools for us.

+1 on the Dremel. I have a cord bound one, but that's alright. I don't use a drillpress for it (though you can get them) and have only ever broken one drill bit yet, because I was being really uncareful. Plus, the Dremel is super handy for all kinds of other effect related activities!

I was lucky and got a laserprinter from work. They thought it didn't work anymore and I could take it home for the stepper motors that are in it. Told me it had a full cartridge and everything. Turns out the driver was faulty and it works fine with another driver! Damn, those stepper motors looked nice (but not as nice as my home made PCBs, ofcourse)
