I just think that germaniums are noisy as hell. They're ok in some fuzz faces and tonebenders. Get them into other pedals and it can get ugly.

tcobretti - I have some asks to you.
I am very interesting in collector voltages of each of germaniums during ALL of the DRIVE settings - from min to max. If it will be not difficult to you - please give this information! Exactly I interested the collector-EMITTER voltages (!) but you may measure collector-GROUND voltages AND and emitter-GROUND in each point - how you want.

Thanks a lot. But I am surprised - what voltage was the power supply during this measurements... I beleive what you wrote above - 3.8 volt. But how can be the C-E voltages be higher than the supply voltage - it is hard to anderstand for me. Where is the miatake? In my mind? I cant explain it for myself and cant use this information.
Sorry for attention to this moment, but it is really important for me - I am a big Page fun and I want to create a good sounding pedal using different russian trannies.
