Hi,

I wanted to add a mid range boost switch in a vox pathfinder 15 tonestack, I was looking at the schematic and maybe I could just increase the R18 to 10k. I wonder if that will work.

Thanks.

That should work fine, and you can go larger than 10k for more mids. However, the bigger that resistor gets, the  less effect  the bass and treble controls will have.
More dynamics????? I'm playing as loud as I can!

That means that I'll get a gain reduction...???.. Another way of improve the mids without sacrifice gain????

Tubebass

No, you'll get a gain boost all right. For example, the mark I Meas Boogie amps had a boost switch that simply opened the ground connection at the bottom of R18 in your schem. It gave a big volume boost, but the tone controls became totally ineffective!

Yeah... thats a good advice...
Thank you very much!!!!
