hi all,

i have a chorus pedal (moen holy choir, superb choruspedal), but it developed an issue: it distorts!!!

only when the pedal is disengaged, it's clean=> reason, it's tb :icon_mrgreen:, now seriously: if i lower my guitarvolume, it cleans up, but i loose some dynamics

could it be the input buffer that is broke? (i have played with the pedal on a bassguitar, and then i left it alone for about a month)

the input buffer is a j201

how can i determine if it is the jfet that is going wacko?

Make an audio probe http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=15 , then listen to the signal right after the JFET, if its distorted there then that would your problem, if its not then follow the signal through the rest of the circuit till you find where the fault is

thats cool :icon_mrgreen:

i'm off to probing :d

i'm correct, it's the buffer
