Hi there.

I have previously posted the topic "Automatic potentiometer" and now i've found what i was looking for.
I have sent the following diagram to my lokal components dealer, but he was not able to find all the parts from the diagram.

Help me please....

Is there any one that can figure out what the parts are, and maybe mail me an partslist.??

I`m surprised you can`t get these parts as they are fairly common but if it helps here`s a parts list.

RESISTORS                             CAPACITORS               TRANSISTORS                     OP-AMP           POTENTIOMETERS

R.1 4.7k                                  C.1 2uF                       Q.1 2N2222                           TL071              VR.1 10k
R.2 820k                                 C.2 2uF                       Q.2 2N5484 or 2N5434                                  VR.2 10k
R.3 10k                                   C.3 2uF
R.4 2k                                     C.4 10uF
R.5 100k                                 C.5 .047
R.6 10k                                   C.6 .0068
R.7 4.5k                                  C.7 .002
R.8 100k                                 C.8 .1uF
R.9 4.5k                                 C.9 (see text?)
R.10 100k
R.11 100k
R.12 470k

Many of these values are often not critical and you can substitute the next nearest value component that you may have.
You will of course need input/output jacks, battery terminal, wire etc. Good luck.

kender du www.banzaieffect.com??
Her kan du finde mange gode electronisk tinger... ;)
Hvor er du fra? jeg vær (what's the past of at bo??) i Aarhus den siste år...

sorry for my bad danish, (even worst than my english.. :icon_cry:) but I couldn't resist.... back to english:

Banzai is in Germany and has a lot of good stuff. http://www.musikding.de/ here is another one, but I've never tried it.

ah, only now I get the meaning of your question... well, it seems pretty straight forward: cylinders are resistors, circles are electrolytic capacitors and red sausages are "normal" caps.
you have the values for all of them. IC is TL071 and Q1 and 2 are a 2N2222 and a 2N5484 (I guess other JFets will just work fine...). Then you need a couple of pots...
I don't see any strange thing in there...

hej hej

Hey, your danish is fine.. I live in Copenhagen.
Thanks for the info..

the  value .0068 i can't find it on musikding.de

Yeah, it looks like they don't carry that value.  Maybe you can find it locally?  It could also be listed as 6800 pf or 6.8 nf.
If you have no luck let me know and I'll drop a couple in the mail for you.

It should be said that I'm not a skilled DIY builder, no clue what so ever.!! ;D
But since the unit is not out there on the market, I thought I would buy the parts and let someone here in Denmark have a crack at soldering the parts together.

Is it a hard job to do or ??

and regarding the parts..... I've found the capacitors whit the right values, but what does the, for instanse 25V stand for and what value should I buy 10uF 25V / 10uF 1450V.......what is that "V"????

Hey!! You have to start somewhere.

QuoteIs it a hard job to do or ??

Like most things worth doing there is always a learning curve but the skills needed are within most people`s capabilities. With a bit of practice.

Quoteshould I buy 10uF 25V / 10uF 1450V

25V (yes volts) is fine for this kind of circuit. I`m sure someone will correct me if this is wrong but my understanding is that with low voltage circuits like guitar pedals, anything over 9V can be used. Probably didn`t explain that very well.

Did you find the .oo68 capacitor? They are listed on Musikding as 6.8 nf.

so is this one good enough??

I guess. Is that on the Musikding site? I couldn`t find it. The only problem I can foresee is that it might be massive. There are alternatives if you look under Film Capacitors.

Almost. The 0.47uf should be 0.047uf. Are the 2.2uf in place of the 2uf? Should be alright. You need a .002 capacitor also. The schematic calls for 2 4.5k resistors also but the 4.7k will do. Other than that you are good to go, as they say.

Dragonfly

A quick thought for you....

that looks like one of Lauriers schematics / layouts...many people have had problems with them working. I dont know if thats the case for this one, but its something for you to be aware of.

GREEN FUZ

I`ve had some minor doubts about this schematic aswell.

GREEN FUZ

As I said, minor doubts. Initially I wondered why there were 4.5k and 4.7k resistors in the same schematic as they are so close in value. Having had a closer look I realise that  the 4.5k`s on the schematic have been simply replaced with 4.7k on the layout . I was confusing myself by scanning between them. I really don`t have enough experience to look at a schematic and tell whether it will work or not. I might try breadboarding it though to see if it does.

Austin73

Did think it looked rather simple for and auto wah but if anybody gets it to work can they let the forum as it could be good

Could you post a link to the site where you got the layout, I want to read up on the unidentified capacitor. Thanks.
