what do you think it is based on?

Ask me questions now, while this pedal is still on my bench, all open
so I can check more details.

See if the two BTB diodes connect to ground, then look for a DIST+ with...TC etc. in the mix?
  What are the knobs labeled?
'retro the whole circuit and draw it on paper?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

MarcoMike

it seems the diodes are connected to the IC, not to ground... so it's probably similar to a TS than to a D+...
Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.

analogguru

The diodes connect to UB/2.

It is a Tubescreamer minus clipping diodes in the feedback-path plus clipping-diodes like in the distortion+.

The component values espescially below the potis would be interesting (according to the component numbers). Be carefull there are many 1% resitors.

What is written on the small yellow axial ceramic capacitors ?
What is written on the transistors ?

Do you have a multimeter ?

If only I can have more treble and this pedal would be perfect for me. Thanks.

I haven't look into this in detail, but all you probably have to do is drop a value in one the caps in the tone section.  The board looks prime for modding... pretty good quality from a mass produced pedal.

Very nice build quality.

One has to tip one's hat to the components industry and the way they have made that possible.  Just try to imagine what the unit would have been like if:
a) the pots were chassis mount rather than PC-mount
b) the caps were big ceramic discs
c) the stompswitch was a big Carling type instead of PC mount
d) the phone jacks were chassis mount rather than PC mount

I also note the presence of the Motorola MC333178 opamp.  Boscorelli seemed to be fond of the Motorola MC3317x series.  Just curious, what advantages do they have as op-amps, and in what sorts of contexts might those advantages be most useful?

That's an excellent question!
