Having read the Rapid catalogue for the umpteenth time I keep coming across inductors at relatively cheap prices but they obviously don't hit the magic 500mH mark, the largest being 68mH. Is it possible to wire these up in series or parallel to achieve this ?

Just a thought and sorry if its been asked before

I think in series. I've never done this.

You can do it in series and their inductance will add, also their ressistance

hope it helps

how much resistance is a bad thing if I add 10mH x 5 I get 60 ohms is that too much?

That's only 50mH - you need 500mH for a wah pedal. Now, if you had five at 100mH each, then a total combined DC resistance of 60 ohms isn't too bad. The target for a 500mH halo inductor is around 30 ohms.

cheers for that paul, posted that one a bit late in the day so didn't spot the deliberate mistake
