i'm looking to build an eh hog foot. i'm going to use this http://www.muzique.com/schem/mole.gif to do it. the only thing is i don' have the 430k or the 43k resistors for the voltage divider. i do have two 220k's though and a 33k. so can i change the divider to 440k and 33k?

the answer is no. you could try 330k and 33k however. it's the ratio that is important, but your best bet is to get the correct resistors.

  I used 47k / 470k, same ratio bumps the impedance <1/2 a notch.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

i'm still learning about input impedance. so is it better to be a bit high or low?
