Recommend any vicious distortion pedals?

Yeah DB and SLO are practically identical so there would be little point in starting from new....One thing that has always struck me in the DB schematic is the really low cold biased clipping stage,has anyone tried increasing it to 39k?

Switching out the 39K "cold clipper" to a lower value raises the level a good bit.
I didn't notice too much difference between the two in tone though.

Soulsonic's build is using Mosfets and a different biasing scheme, should sound different  thean the DB I'd imagine.
And if the build will auto bias then were talking a much more solid building experience!

I know I must be getting on people's nerves for reviving this thread so much, but I'm real anxious to hear about soulsonic's project.

Using the pm's would be a good idea, but like this everyone can learn or read up on updates.

I still haven't gotten the negative feedback part working the way I want, but the distortion is nice n' heavy. I also want to experiment with some other biasing ideas, to maybe bring the noise down a bit and maybe make it more stable (though it does seem pretty much tweak-free already, I just want to make sure..).
