hi there

I know that SEARCH is my friend, however I have tried to find the list of common faults with WAH and cant find it !

I have a Roger Mayer drop in, One of the old ones which had to be wired in by the shop you bought it from and its stopped working. This is the one with the rotary switch for diffrent capacitor selection. It still lets the sound thru in when engaged but with no wah sound, does not change volume so probably not the capacitor ?????

You can hear the clicks and sound change when moving the rotary switch however no wah !

I remember seeing a list of the common faults on this site but cant find it ........

Any help gladly accepted.

Commonest wah fault - in the sense of a wah that worked once and now doesn't - is a break in the wah inductor coil wire.
Especially where it comes to the pins that connect to the board, because this wire is very thin & a spot of corrosion can eat it away.

Edited to say, and the pot - because it takes a thrashing - is a weak point too.
I have seen pots with the wiper totally worn away.

check the electro cap, make sure wiring/connections are ok too.
