I've tried everything to fix my Maestro FSH-1 to no avail.  I ordered a bunch of parts from Small Bear to troubleshoot but they seem to be out of 741's.  Radio Shack actually has these but the package says Digital IC...that can't be right...right?  I'd like to think all 741's will function the same regardless of where you buy them.  Anyone ever use these from RS??

they are fine, look inside and you can read the actual part# on the chip.

Those Radio Shack linear IC assortments used to be a great source of parts.  That's where I got my stock of original Raytheon RC4558's that sound very good in Tube Screamer circuits.  It might make sense to look up the exact part number to be sure you are indeed getting the 741 you actually want.

I've used several of their 741 and 081 opa's and each worked just fine. Exact same pin-out as you'd expect and all.
I like amps etc.

Welcom to the world of ignorance that is RS.
The manufacturer is right, not the RS package label.
And you can use any 741 you want - it will surely be cheaper somewhere else!
