FSH1a - Higher output volume

I've put aside effects for months and have now comeback to it with the GGG Filter/Sample Hold.  After a bit of debugging it works great ( blown tranny).  My question is this: the output volume seems a bit low... I'm pretty sure that's just the way the circuit is - is there anything that can be tweaked to get a bit more volume?  Which areas of the circuit would I look at?  I'm trying to go about this without putting a booster after (who needs another pedal!) even though it might be the simplest solution there's no challenge in it
