Hi,

I'm looking for more info and a schem for this pedal.

I see Dragonfly had a schem for it, but it's gone now...  :-[  (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=50689.0),  that there was some early info on it, but I can't get the schem to a workable state (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=40452.0) and MarkM has put a build up for it.

Can anyone help out with Dragonfly's info, or a schem that a goose like me can read?

Thanks,

DD

Thank you MarkM- all fixed now!

If anyone else is looking at this circuit, and reads is how I did, the 3906 need to be turned around so the emitter in on the "north" side (for want of a better expression...)

Thanks, MarkM, for all your work putting these layouts together!

What's the quality rating for this stompbox? Does it actually sound ANYTHING like a tube or is it just bullshit marketing?

Versatile?

To me it sounds more like an aggressive Tube Screamer. Maybe that's what the "TubeSound" in the name refers to or.....
It's "BS" marketing I suppose.
If you want Real Tube sound from a Stomper, R.G. has some info about this on his site.

1  Approved for all audiences [some strong language].

    as to the 'letters'...
I don't think this circuit was really even 'M'd, therefore, 'I'm not certain any B or S could be made to stick.

Sound quality- I like it. It is an interesting and as far as I know different approach to the overdrive sound. I'm also playing with a UBEScreamer at the moment.
Is it the greatest effect ever designed? No, and not many people know about it let alone use it.
Build quality- why, excellent of course!  ;D
Relevance of "tube" in the title- about as irrelevant as anything else with tube in the title. It's eaiser to sort it all out where I come from, cos they're called "valves" here.
It's a simple build. The easiest way to see if you like it is to knock one up yourself and try it.
And when you do- the missing value for R3 is 220k (taps MarkM on shoulder...)
