if i am going to run the mosfet boost on 15 v instead of 9, should i change the ener to a 15v zener?

Gus

The zener has little to do with the supply voltage.  It has more ot do with the gate breakdown voltage.

Just out of curiousity, why are you going to run this circuit at 15V?
(I always ask this question, everytime someone posts this topic......ever notice that?)

scaesic

im using it as a preamp in an amplifier which has a tone section which needs 15v, i figured why not have a bit more headroom and just use the power thats there.

Ahhh, I see.
Do a search for "Ruby" and look at momo's posts.
I think he used the MosFET Booster as his preamp and was going to run it at 12V.
This could save ya some time.  ;)

is that a warning of some kind? or just something that might be useful?
