Anyone using extruded aluminum cases for pedals?  They are cheap and easy to get in my neck of woods.

These kinda things .. http://www.hammondmfg.com/1455ptbla.htm

You can get them with aluminum end pieces too.

I have a similar enclosure that I salvaged, but the problem is how to mount the pedal in the enclosure.

If it's sturdy enough, and you can get the guts in it, I'd use it.

The thin ones would be really cool, but it has to be about as thick as the stompswitch, to get it inside in order to mount it.

You could go as thin as the pots vertically, though, if you used the separate actuator and mini tactile switch.

It would be a pain to service compared to a pedal with a bottom where you can get the circuit out easily.

There are some styles of extruded aluminum boxes that come in two pieces, so it would be alot easier to get the stuff inside.
