DIY AC power filter??

I know that most of our pedals run on DC power, but some pedals such as the Butler Tube Driver run on AC power. I noticed that after building a DC power supply my Tube Driver is noisier than my TS808 clone! I found some DIY articles on filtering AC power and was wondering if anybody here has built such an animal? Here is two of the sites that I found
