I just got a whipple inductor and was planning on using it on a GGG modable wah board. The pins of the inductor don't match up with the spacing on the board though. Anyone have any tips on getting it on there? Also which pins are the "hot" ones?

the pins with the wires attatched are the "hot" pins. only 2 should be hot...also, you only need 2 pins, the other two are for keeping it sturdy.

Thanks for the reply. Mine has 5 pins coming out but no wires attached, there's the numbers 1,4,5, and 8 next to the various pins.

the numbers dont matter. the fifth pin (in the middle) is not a pin, but rather to hold the "frame" of the inductor core down.

the inductor should be painted black.

if you have a DMM, measure two pins until you get resistance, and then youll find which pins are hot.

otherwise, on the top, where the pins come up, you should slightly see a wire wrapped around a post. 2 wires/2 posts.
