Thank you all for being so helpful thusfar.

I've got a great Muff clone that I love, even though it's got a little hum/buzz to it.   It's in a larger enclosure and I was going to do some measuring and see if I can squeeze it into an MXR sized enclosure or maybe the larger one Lovepedals uses.   This would require adding length to the leads from the pots to the board and changing the direction of the board in relation to them by 90 degrees... would this affect the tone of the pedal, the distortion, or potentially add more/change the amount of buzz and hum???

as long as the new enclosure is metal and large enough that nothing ends up shorting out there will not be any change in tone.

I heard that fuzzes are really tempermental.

I am really worried mainly about buzzing/hum/magnetic interference.  SO the consensus is that there'll be no change?  even if i put the board on it's side?

i'm not sure that you're going to get it into a smaller box? when it comes to cast aluminum enclosures they're all the same as long as everything fits properly .

I was going to do some measurements later tonight and see if i could put the board on its side in the enclosure... or maybe see if a size 125 enclosure would fit it better than a 1590 (or whatever the mxr is... i think it's a 1590).

I'll do some more plannig and see what I come up with.
