Building a May Queen Booster calls for a 100k log pot and a 10k trimmer. What's the difference between them (beside their rating?) At Small Bear they have no trimmers under that name. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks

A trimmer is another term for a "trimpot".  They have all the values you'll need there.

That's what I thought but the only trimpot I can find anywhaere in their stock list is one trim pot that seems to have an archaic purpose, certainly not what I need. Any other ideas?

if u follow the link Mike posted:

where it says "value" u can click a menu that has 10k listed in there.

(also u can substitute a normal pot for a trimmer, if that suits your needs better)

Man do I feel stupid. Thank you so much. Sorry for what is certainly not my final dumb question.

No need to ever feel stupid here. I doubt you'll  find a more open minded, helpful bunch of people as there are in this forum. And we all start somewhere. Keep the questions coming! (BUT, bare in mind, most questions have been asked before and can easily be answered using the search function, as well!)
I'm still scrambling to learn myself too, but its not about the destination.. its all about the journey. Enjoy it!

amen to that, apehouse, I have learned so much from this forum. I have hesitated a time or two for fear of asking "stupid" questions but I have always received very courteous and helpful answers that make me feel a part of a friendly community. We all are beginners at one point, right? Thank goodness for the 'net!

I can't agree more. I know a few other forums where n00bish questions are normally met with a lot of flaming. You guys rule :)
