Right I made the Phaseur Fleur finally after running out of a bunch of parts and eventually rembering to order the right bits and bobs. I bought the PCB from them and sourced my own parts. For the LDRs I used these from rapid and some square LEDS from them as well. Also I used BC549 transistors instead of the 2N5089. Remember that these need to be reversed as the pin out is different! I layed out the inside badly, meaning I have to remove everything from the box to get at the trimpots :icon_redface:

But now it's up and running and sounds great if I do say so myself ;D lots of variations in sounds are to be had. Although the classic phaser sound is a little weak, but I do need to do the volume drop mod. Also it doesn't like my powersupply, but I am only using a bog standard £10 1.5A adaptor from maplin to power half of my pedals, the others being the ones that don't like it and run off batteries. I assume it takes quite a bit of power? So maybe a decent power supply could be my next project.

Anyway, I can thoroughly recommend it as a project.

The box was a big one that was on offer at rapid ages ago, used the standard print onto acetate and cover with clear car paint method for finishing it. I put this pic up on the pictures thread allready. Looks great in bright light, has a 3D effect to it. Need more knobs, something else I forgot to buy  :icon_frown:

Anyone else liking their Phaseurs? And what, if any, mods you did and can you recommend them?

I made one, I did multiple mods to it.  I can say that it is subtle with the filter caps, I think .001 or something, I changed them to larger values and it sounded much thicker.  Search in the doppelganger threads, I described the mods I did.  I wasnt able to get the mods to the main LFO working as written on the commonsound site.  I was able to 'dopple' the fleur also by using extra led, cds and splitting the signal from the main block of led, cds and diverting it to the extras in order to absorb the power.  The mod main speed sounds cool, sounds like a leslie speeding up and slowing down.
Since when is 3/4 of the way up "cranked"?

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I'm wondering which of the seven .001uf caps are the filter caps. Is it all of them ? I love my PF but I'm seriously considering swapping it on my board for a nano small stone that I have. Ideal phaser would have the small stone's tone with the PF's tweakability.

Thanks.
