Enclosure and AC;

Hey all!

Small question; I recently got an Meteoro Bass Master drive pedal in. "Weird" thing I noticed was that the unit runs on 12V AC but that the AC input (it uses a standalone adapter with a jack / plug) is grounded to the enclosure. All jacks are isolated.

Does this have a negative side effect?

Why not stand barefoot on the pavement, lick the chassis and find out?  Second thought, maybe not.
