Help with an EA Trem

Iv'e been working on this box for awhile and I finnally got bypass. Beyond that I can't get signal with the effect switched on ( I had unaffected sound come through with it on but I can't get it back)  I know I should figure this stuff on my own but the strange (to me) thing is the power. With a 9V batt in it, I get an 0.01v reading and the battery gets real hot and discharges very quickly. I'm stuck. Can anyone offer advice.

You have a short somewhere. That's why the battery is so hot. Carefully look over your connections.
