Has anyone else had trouble getting the Metal Simplex to work?

I've tried 2 different Vero layouts, and can't get either to work.

Are there errors on the layouts that anyone knows of?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't built it on vero, but on perf with no problems.
However, do you want mine?
I'll send you the populated perf with wires attached, nothing offboard though.
I will quietly resist.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but I've already got more stuff than I know what to do with.  I've been messing around with building stuff for a few months, and have had a couple of successes, but I seem to have hit a wall.

I'm trying to build pedals that I can use in my band, as well as for all my friends, but it's starting to get frustrating when nothing works.  Do you have any suggestions for easy builds?

Thanks!

As always, it depends on your guitar, your rig, and your style.
That being said, boosters are always useful, and there are about 4.69 billion different ones, easy to find one that would suit you. Favorite boosters around here are LPB, various treble boosters, AMZ minibooster, Fetzer Valve, among many others. For an easy distortion, the Electra is a great one-nice and easy, low parts count. That was my very first build and I still use it at gigs. A silicon Fuzz would also be easy.
Before you decide on what to build, figure out what your requirements are, then go from there.
Good luck!

Any chance I could get a copy of the perf layout?

Thanks!

Actually, I did my own. There may be one around here somewhere, do a search or just search the net.
