Tycobrahe Octavia

Just been over at Fuzz central and looking at the Tycobrahe Octavia, it appeals to me and I have all the parts except the transformer needed and thats where the problem starts,

On the schematic is a mouser partnumber

But I am in the Uk so I dont know what I am looking for.  theres maplins who I try and avoid, and I have an account with farnell.  I am sure one of them must do somethign usuable but I dont know exactly what I need or how much I can vary on the ratings on that mouser part

Sorry, I don't know of anywhere in the UK, but Smallbear has the transformer you need....usually only takes around 7 working days to ship to the UK

I honestly couldn`t say whether anything from Maplins, or Rapid, for that matter, would do the trick. I don`t know how critical the specs for the transformer in that particular circuit need to be. However you can get the part a little closer to home.

I have found DasMusikding to be very conscientious and reliable in my dealings with them.

Might be worth getting some other parts from them at the same time to justify the postage.


There`s Banzai aswell but I didn`t check to see if they had the part.

Just had a look over at Das Musikding  he's got some cool stuff there.  Liking the look of the Madamp J5Mk1 deluxe kit too.  I really wanna tube amp and well I like building stuff and I am too tight to buy a new amp lol
