does anyone have any thoughts on momentary (off-on) switches??  they should be able to handle stomping.  Mouser has a few, but I can't get a good idea from the descriptions as to how big, or heavy duty they are.  any that you all have tried that you dig??

this one is indestructible, but a little bit expensive. i use them with the tone god's electronic switching with satisfying results.

thanks.  I think I can get that same switch at Mouser as well, I'll give a look...

I've had very good luck with the Carling with the plastic plunger. It has a really light action and after years of pounding on one it still hasn't broken.

Cool, thanks for the report on those plastic top ones, they looked a bit dodgy to me, but if you say they hold up well, good to know!

At first I wasn't sure about them either, but I've been using one as a mute switch for awhile now and it hasn't given me any trouble.... and I'm VERY rough with it.

These look identical to one of the momentary carlings, 1/2 the price too. They have no click, which could either be good or bad.

The Taiwanese momentary from small bear has a nice click. Haven't had a problem with the couple I've used.  Momentary switches in general seem much more reliable than the more complicated latching type.
