Great as always Jack!

By the way, anyone who doesn't already have the AMZ CDRom, buy it. It's $25.00 well spent.

Great, more cool free info.   The more I mess with this stuff, the more important the EQ seems, as the elders told us long ago.  :icon_cool:

Awesome!

thanks a lot, Jack... its these little snippets the ones that make the difference, between average tone and pro tone  ;)

I wonder if one of these might work well on the input of a Range Master? Rather than a switched capacitor as in the Java Boost.

Jack, I appreciate the way you cut through the (unnecessary) jargon used by pseudo-experts.

Quotethe frequency response is totally flat as if the capacitor is not in the circuit, which it isn't because the two ends of C1 are shorted together in that position

That's totally excellent. :icon_lol:

Thank Jack Orman for providing AMZ info to us all !!
  Great stuff...

How can something so stupidly wonderful be so wonderfully smart? :icon_lol:  Nice distinction made between applications for the same circuit.

Very nice, Jack.  I'm honoured to find even a small place in your Lab Notes.

Where has this gone?
Click on the AMZ link above and look for lab notebook.

It would appear an earlier version of that page was temporarily substituted while Jack updated a few things.  Just housekeeping, folks.  No emergencies or problems.

Seems ideal for a passive tube screamer.
High drive with treble cut or low drive with treble boost.

How do you work out the frequency of the max treble boost given by those controls? I'm getting the max roll off but I'm getting incorrect values for treble boost :icon_redface:

CRAP !!! Now cut that out. I'm just getting used to your other tone controls.  :icon_lol:

I've been tacking your presence control onto the end of MXR Dist + for a while now. Works GREAT !! Thanks.
