I wish to playing around TS8 PCB i have now to FD2 spec.
What is the Ge NPN is should use as OUTPUT transistor?
I had got 2SC75 and 2SD23 on hand but not sure is a good fit.

I'm not sure why you want a Ge there ?
I'd just go with a good 5088/89 or an MPSA18 for output, do you want some added
noise ??

My aim is to reduce the mid of the pedal and get it less muddy when doing chord work.

I get the Ge Output transistor idea from FD2. According to Steve Cerutti schem, FD2 has Ge NPN.

I had actually tried 2SC75 and 2SD23 on the board i presently have.
I agreed, Ge NPN is not as quite as 2n5088 but it sound clearer & less muddy.

Though, C75 is not a good subsitute. The noise is higher.

But i found D23 is quite ok with manageable noise. I think i will be much lesser when i box it up.
It improved the sonic character for chord work.

The other improvement i'm still looking for is reduce the mid of the pedal. Any idea to do this?
I would like to tried to further reduce input cap value and the 51pF of feedback loop Cap. Will this help?

i don't believe that the fulldrive 2 has any sort of Ge device in it.  you're not going to be able to just substitute a Ge transistor for a silicone without some tweaking, and most likely a trimmer.

as for reducing the mid hump, check this out-
