a manual flanger

i've recently found myself with an MXR flanger and a broken vox wah-wah. It's my plan to rip out all the wires from the old vox as I already have a wah and wire the flanger into the vox box so I can control the rate manually. The controls on the flanger are Manual, width, speed and regen. I have no problem drilling into the side of the wah to put the pots in.

I assume that I won't need the speed or regen pots anymore, so what should I do with them now? And what wire should I wire up to the pot attached to the expression pedal on the wah? Any help will be hugely appreciated.

You may need to change the law of the pot in the wah wah so that it provides the full sweep to the flanger. I would leave them connected and just tape them up, you may need them in the future. As to wire, you would only be providing a control voltage so any wire would do.
