Suggestions Wanted: "Variable Capacitor" For Variable Bass Cut

I saw the basic fixed capacitance multiplier in one of the big circuit collection books, and realized that it could be made variable. It just goes to show you that it is easy for people working independently to come up with quite similar circuits.

yeah, i saw it too (or one like it!) and hoped to be able to base a theremin on it... didn't work for me, but someone else might be able to use it! Good luck!

pls be afraid of gyrators. They add quite audible "shit" to the guiitar sound.

This is that Joe Gagan idea in a simplified illustration.  I use a 100k pot, and it's a good, useable value.  As for the caps, the "lo-fi" effect would obviously require different values than a typical fuzz or overdrive application (where your small cap might go as low as .0033uf, although .015uf is a nice, musical value; and your big cap could be anything, but .22uf is another nice one; but 10uf or larger would not be out of the question for fuzz).
