So, I get most of my last minute can't wait parts at a local electronics place. They usually have what I'm looking for, or something that will work. This time around I was looking for the CD4049UBE for a Llama pedal. They only had a CD4049UBC, which is non-inverting. The pedal sounds great, especially being driven by a Tubescreamer like pedal in front of it.

My question: Does the inverting part add anything that could be missing? I read some posts about inverting opamps creating good distortion. What is the difference between the 2 types.

Thanks for your help.

The 4049ubc is inverting. It differs in technology in some way, I don't know what... something like different input zeners...  :icon_confused:
