Guys is there any way to get a smaller volume-jump between when RM is on (full blast) and off? I love the full sound when the 10k pot is up, but it is too loud ....

I would think it is more to do with the amp,speaker, air coupled  feedback  being driven harder than the vol pot setting changing the tone

Maybe fixing the 10k and taking the output from the collector, and adding a volume pot at the end and resizing the output cap to keep the same freq response. Just a guess.

If you are using a log taper pot it shouldn't be an issue.
