Hi Just me again.
I am wanting to try an idea with the ac-2 pedal circuit i have made.
I would like to cut the mid out if i could, at around the 1 to 1.1khz level as i was thinking this would help me in my endeavour to use a guitar with humbuckers to sound a little closer to a single coil as the varitone control does on the gibsons.
so my question is how can i achieve this, do i need to make something like the MR EQ which has a setting on it that cuts the mids right out and leaves the lo's and high's on, or since this circiut has a mid control in it with a bandpass filter of 1khz can i just do somthing with this???
i know i am probably asking a stupid question but i have been doing a lot of reading to try and get some knowledge so as not to bother people to much, but just a little nudge in the right direction would be of great help.
thanks

Weird. I was just looking at something like this.

You can use a 1.5H inductor with a resistor/cap to cut mids.

I think you are right. If you remove R29 and connect the 10K directly to ground, it will cut more mids.

yep just about to take the resistor out and put in a jumper and see how it goes
will let you know

ok i did it, and there is deffinitely an improvement, although there is a noticable drop in volume, but you cant have everything hey
now i just have to stabilise everything else now so when it goes back in the box it doesn't do the old heart beat thing
one thing i have noticed is the popping when i press the dpdt switch, i have the melenium circuit hooked up but it dont seem to be working real well.
cheers
