Does anyone know the frequency response for shown values of input filter (preamp) ?

Hey.
Welcome to 2007.  I mean, welcome to the forum.

Try the Tone stack calculator.

Probably something approximating this:

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I wonder if you might not get a little more headroom by staying with the 12v supply, but dropping it down more on the way to the preamp with some series resistance between the filter caps, just like in a tube amp, or alternatively putting in a 9v rectifier just for the preamp.

How about some soldering porn?   I've watched this about 20 times.

Such skills!

Back on topic, I'm not sure it's applies when running this chip in bridge mode, but I can't help but notice, no bypass cap on pin 7 of the 386's?

I can't recall exactly why (it was after some advice from PRR here) but I always stick a big bypass cap on pin 7 whenever I'm trowing a 386  circuit together.  Somewhere between 100n and 1u, I think.
