Germanium for SD-1

but there is no information about the exact germanium transistor needed for the mod
which one I need to buy for that mod ?

i did this mod a couple times for friends,I socketed the transistor and tried the first four on the small bear stock list
Transistor Pair, The Fuzz Face PNP, SINO
Transistor Pair - The Fuzz Face PNP, U.S.
Transistor Pair, The Fuzz Face PNP, SINO-U.S.
Transistor Pair - The Fuzz Face PNP, "All-American" 

i used the leftovers in fuzz projects and other unique mods

Out of the first four  i'd say that the Transistor Pair - The Fuzz Face PNP, "All-American" sounded the best, any pnp will work but those sounded a little smoother than the rest.

The AC-128 would be a perfect fit for the sd-1 mod,  smooth sounding.  Hope this helps
