BSIABII build questions

Guys:

I just got the subject running, very cool circuit, I like it a lot.

I have a question, though, I'm not sure if my tone control is operating as it's supposed to . . .    it rolls off volume along with tone.  I realize that it's a passive tone control, but am not sure if it is supposed to act like that.  I've double checked the values and wiring, not that that means much (i.e., I miss stuff all the time, thank heavens for a signal generator and a scope!) . . .  any comments?  Oh, and right now I'm going guitar->bsiabii->mixer->studio monitors.

is there a voltage to set that trim pot to, or just get it to sound good??
