Q: british amp sound

ive been looking for some good british amp sound[tight low end] dist boxes... and a lil bit of high gain too.
i wonder if the sans amp gt2 does this good but i dont have the required tlc2262 ic's...
i can use the tl072 but it would be very noisy as stated by the people here. but how bad can that noise be? is it tolerable? is it too noisy for gig-playing?

whats the secret in this "tight" low end sound?
Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

name the amp tone? british is vague, to me...
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

sounds like a tubescreamer to me...maybe a tamed down bsiabII...

the gt2 is nice, sounds like crap through most amps. sounds awesome direct....

If you by British mean a Marshall tone I would say that the ROG Thor will fit perfectly to your description of higher gain and tight low end!
