Any complaints about the Neutrik 1/4" phone jacks as compared to the Switchcraft products?

Thanks, John.

I use the Neutrik jacks exclusively.  I like the way they hold the plug real tight so there's no chance of it coming unplugged accidentally.  Probably only had 1 or 2 bad ones out the hundreds I've used.

I also love the Neutrik jacks.

And, though I certainly feel that the Switchcraft ones are great quality, has anyone else noticed/been annoyed by the brass ones getting really nasty over time? I have one in a guitar and I have to clean it constantly because of all the crud that builds up on it from oxidation.

I love the Neutriks too. They're cheaper and work just as well as Switchcraft in my opinion. Even Small Bear calls them "functional equal of Switchcraft."

I use Neutrik, exclusively.  The stereo ones seem to hold the jacks even firmer than the mono ones, so I use them and snip off the surplus lugs (if in the way).  Maybe it's just the batch I have, but the Stereo ones do seem to have more grip.  Having said that the mono ones are excellent too.

Hi Gez,

In the past we had to agree to disagree. Now we have to agree to agree.  ;D

As for me, Switchcrafts seems to look more "respectable" and reliable than Neutriks. But both of them works equally good.
